7 people were arrested by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office over the last 24-hour reporting period. Deputies say they responded to 36 complaints.

Tiearra A. Wilson, 30, 4390 Felix Lee Road, Ethel, LA was arrested on January 12, 2016 at 1:30 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for a drug court status conference. A deputy transported Wilson from the East Feliciana Parish jail to the St. Mary parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville on the warrant. Bail is set at $100,000.

Paulette Skinner, 40, 1044 Grace Street, Siracusaville, LA was arrested on January 12, 2016 at 2:19 pm for speeding and driving under suspension. While patrolling Amelia, a deputy observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed and conducted a traffic stop on James Street. The deputy made contact with the driver, Skinner, and discovered that she was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Skinner was released on a summons to appear in court on March 30, 2016.

Courtland Francois, 24, 1015 Belleview Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 12, 2016 at 10:49 pm for the following offenses:
- False imprisonment (while armed with a dangerous weapon)
- Aggravated assault with a firearm
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Simple battery
- Resisting an officer
- Simple escape
Deputies responded to a report of a 911 hang up call and possible disturbance in the 400 block of Verdun Lane in Verdunville. As deputies arrived in the area, they observed a male subject force another male subject into a residence. Deputies ordered both of the subjects to exit the residence. Both subjects complied and were detained. One of the subjects was identified as Francois. During the course of the investigation, detectives learned that Francois had held the other male subject at gunpoint, bound the victim with duct tape, and dragged the victim over the ground. Francois and the victim do know each other. The case remains under investigation at this time. While escorting Francois to a police unit, he forcefully pulled away from a deputy and fled on foot. The deputy gave chase and apprehended Francois a short distance away. Francois was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Cyrilla Lyons, 50, 811 Sixth Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 12, 2016 at 5:16 pm for the following offenses:
- Possession of marijuana, 2nd offense
- Possession of drug paraphernalia, 2nd offense
- Violation of a uniform controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)
A deputy investigating a complaint of illegal drug activity at a residence in Kemper Williams Park in Patterson made contact with Lyons. While speaking with Lyons, the deputy received consent to search the residence and located a pill bottle containing marijuana and a piece of a glass smoking pipe used to consume marijuana. Fry was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Gregory Lafleur, 34, 126 Aquilla Drive, Eunice, LA was arrested on January 12, 2016 at 4:48 pm for violating the maximum speed limit law. A deputy working radar on Highway 90 in the Siracusa area observed a vehicle travelling 96 miles per hour in the posted 70 mile per hour zone. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Lafleur. After speaking with Lafleur, the deputy released him on a summons to appear in court on March 30, 2016.

Malissa A. Gill, 26, 500 Wise Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 12, 2016 at 6:38 pm on 4 warrants for failure to appear for a drug court status conference and failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy located Gill on Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista on the warrants and transported her to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $400,000.

Judy Williams, 29, 422 Verdun Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 12, 2016 at 8:37 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended license. Deputies made contact with Williams during an investigation on Verdun Lane and located the active warrant for her arrest. Williams was transported to the parish jail. No bail is set.
