6 people have been arrested over the last 24-hour reporting period by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. Deputies say they responded to 43 complaints.

Roy Verret, 50, 121 Verret Lane, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 14, 2016 at 6:50 am on an Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office warrant for theft by fraud and possession of stolen things. A deputy located Verret at his residence on the warrant and transported him to the parish jail for booking. Verret was later transported to Iberia Parish.

Phillip R. Broussard, 57, 422 Neptune Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 14, 2016 at 12:25 pm for disturbing the peace (fighting).

Nathaniel Rankins, 66, 422 Neptune Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 14, 2016 at 12:21 pm for disturbing the peace (fighting).

A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance on Neptune Street. The deputy learned that Broussard and Rankins engaged in a physical altercation during an argument between the two. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail for booking and later released on summonses to appear in court on March 30, 2016.

Bridgett Jackson, 24, 124 Welch Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 14, 2016 at 12:32 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, vehicles without required equipment, operating a vehicle without a driver's license, and failure to honor written promise to appear. Jackson was also charged on a St. Martin Parish warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and driving under suspension. A deputy assisting the Jeanerette Marshal's Office in stopping a vehicle made contact with Jackson, a passenger, on Kilgore Road in Jeanerette. The deputy located the active warrants for her arrest and transported her to the parish jail for booking. The warrant from St. Martin Parish was recalled. Jackson was released on a $100 bail.

Destiny M. Turner, 20, 315 Leo Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on January 14, 2016 at 5:00 pm for theft. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Turner, an employee, concealed a gift card in her pocket that was accidentally left at a register by a customer. Following the investigation, Turner was transported to the parish jail for booking. Turner was released on a summons to appear in court on March 30, 2016.

Shawn Boudreaux, 36, 179 Martin Road, Centerville, LA was arrested on January 14, 2016 at 5:31 pm for disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to the intersection of Martin Road and Prairie Road North in Centerville in reference to a complaint of a person acting suspiciously. Upon arriving in the area, the deputy received additional reports of a suspicious person walking through residents' yards. The deputy then located the subject, identified as Boudreaux. Following the investigation into the complaints, Boudreaux was transported to the parish jail. Bail on the charge is set at $250.
