3 arrests have been made by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office for alleged criminal activity over the past 24-hour period. Deputies say they responded to 32 complaints.

Anthony Beard, 39, 1502 Cross road #2, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 20, 2016 at 11:32 am on a warrant for criminal damage to property. The warrant was issued following an investigation into a complaint of criminal damage to a vehicle at a residence in Bayou Vista. The deputy gathered evidence that Beard cut two tires on the victim's vehicle. Beard turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. He was later released on a $500 bond.

Glen Rochel, Jr., 33, 535 Arcemont Lane, Lot #7, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 20, 2016 at 2:28 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of simple assault and telephone harassment and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of criminal trespassing. A deputy working on Arcemont Lane made contact with Rochel and located the active warrants for his arrest. Rochel was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Natasha D. Bergeron, 29, 105 Tournament Boulevard, Apt. #17, Berwick, LA was arrested on January 20, 2016 at 8:02 pm for the following offenses:
- Possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine)
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of Schedule II (tramadol)
- Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)
- Possession of Legend Drug (cyclobenzaprine) without a prescription
- Possession of a firearm in the presence of a CDS
- Possession of a CDS in the presence of a minor
- Warrant for probation violation

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division and officers with the Berwick Police Department conducted an investigation into possible illegal drug activity at a residence on Tournament Boulevard. The investigation began after the Berwick Police Department received a complaint of a subject smoking marijuana at the apartment complex. Detectives and officers made contact with Bergeron and smelled the strong odor of marijuana coming from her apartment. Detectives advised Bergeron of the complaint and received consent to search the apartment. During the search detectives located the following items: a marijuana cigarette, several legend drug pills, several tramadol pills, a bag of crack cocaine, and a handgun. There were three children present in the residence at the time of the investigation. The children, ages 5, 6, and 8, were released to the custody of a family member. The residence is also located less than 2,000 feet from a church. Detectives also located an active arrest warrant for Bergeron. Bergeron was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
