12 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report for the last 72-hour reporting period over the weekend. Deputies say they responded to 108 complaints.

Christopher Langley, 28, 2465 Highway 397 Lot #34, Lake Charles, LA was arrested on January 22, 2016 at 9:29 am on a warrant for simple battery. A deputy investigating a complaint of possible battery, collected information that Langley struck a male victim in the head while aboard a motor vessel in West Cote Blanche Bay. The victim did not seek medical attention. A warrant was issued for Langley's arrest. Langley turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin and was transported to the parish jail for booking. Langley was released on a $500 bond.

Juvenile male, 15, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 22, 2016 at 7:58 pm for reckless operation of a vehicle with a crash and no driver's license. A deputy responded to a request for assistance from Franklin Police in reference to an investigation into a vehicle crash that occurred on the Sterling Bridge approach road at LA Highway 87. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that the juvenile took a family member's vehicle without their permission. While driving at an unsafe speed on LA Highway 322, the juvenile lost control of the car which then traveled off the roadway and into a ditch coming to a rest on its side. Another juvenile passenger was transported to the hospital with unknown injuries. The juvenile driver was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Malcolm Kennedy, 62, 12033 Troy Street, Baton Rouge, LA was arrested on January 22, 2016 at 7:25 pm on a warrant for obtaining a prescription by fraud. On March 28, 2014, a narcotics detective began investigating a complaint of a fraudulent prescription from a pharmacy in Morgan City. The detective found that Kennedy went to the pharmacy and attempted to fill a fake prescription for oxycodone and cyclobenzaprine at the pharmacy. A warrant was issued for Kennedy's arrest. A deputy transported Kennedy from the East Baton Rouge Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

T.J. Williams, IV, 23, Chateau Living Center of Kenner, 716 Village Kenner, LA was arrested on January 23, 2016 at 12:59 am for resisting an officer (giving false information), possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine), and on warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family.

Claudashia Johnlouis, 21, 401 Ira Street #12, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 23, 2016 at 12:59 am for the following offenses:
- Improper lane usage
- No driver's license
- No insurance
- Possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine)
A deputy patrolling Sorrel observed a vehicle travel across the center line of the roadway and into the oncoming lane of traffic. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Johnlouis. Johnlouis was unable to provide a valid driver's license or proof of insurance. The deputy also made contact with a passenger in the vehicle. The deputy knew the passenger, Williams, from a previous encounter. Williams gave the deputy a different name in an attempt to avoid arrest on the warrant. While speaking with the two subjects, the deputy smelled the strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the vehicle. The deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located 3 pieces of crack cocaine. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail.

Frank T. Anderson, 22, 321 Inez Drive, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 23, 2016 at 7:58 am on a warrant for disturbing the peace (fighting). A deputy responding to a report of a fight on Sorrel Lane identified Anderson as one of the subjects involved in the altercation and obtained a warrant for his arrest. A deputy investigating a complaint of a disturbance located Anderson on Highway 318. While speaking with Anderson, the deputy learned that there was an active warrant for his arrest. Anderson was transported to the parish jail for booking. Anderson was released on a summons to appear in court on March 30, 2016.

Shelamo Elzy, 19, 230 Mitchell Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 23, 2016 at 9:26 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, general speed law, operating a vehicle without a driver's license on person, no child restraint, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A deputy conducting a follow up to a separate investigation made contact with Elzy at his residence and located the active warrant for his arrest. Elzy was transported to the parish jail for booking He was released on a $375 bond.

Ronell Bourgeois, 43, 253 Highway 317, Centerville, LA was arrested on January 23, 2016 at 5:02 pm for the following offenses:
- Aggravated flight from an officer
- Theft of goods
- Illegal possession of stolen things
- Warrant for theft of goods
A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that the suspected shoplifter was identified as Bourgeois. Store security stated that Bourgeois left the business without paying for two 32” flat screen televisions. A description of the suspect and the vehicle he was driving was disseminated to other deputies on shift. A deputy in Centerville located Bourgeois on the corner of Highway 182 and Highway 317 in Centerville and initiated a traffic stop. Bourgeois stopped the vehicle but then accelerated again after refusing the deputy's commands to exit the car. The deputy followed Bourgeois to his residence where he stopped the vehicle a second time. Bourgeois was detained pending further investigation. The deputy located the TV's reported stolen inside the vehicle. The deputy also located the active warrant for Bourgeois who was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Barry Clarkston, Jr., 37, 1018 Barrow Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 24, 2016 at 2:55 pm on a Lafayette Parish warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple assault. A deputy observed a vehicle parked on the side of Highway 182 in Garden City with a subject slouched over in the driver's seat. The deputy stopped to make sure the driver was well. The deputy made contact with the subject and identified him as Clarkston. Clarkston told the deputy that he stopped the vehicle after receiving a text message. While checking on Clarkston's wellbeing, the deputy located an active warrant for his arrest. Clarkston was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Trevor Hebert, 20, 1001 Teche Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 24, 2016 at 4:02 pm for resisting an officer. A deputy responded to a complaint of two subjects attempting to use a coat hanger to break into a vehicle in a parking lot in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy observed two male subjects attempting to enter into a locked vehicle. The deputy made contact with the subjects who were both detained pending further investigation. One of the subjects repeatedly refused to identify himself to the deputy. As the investigation progressed, the deputy confirmed that the subjects were attempting to retrieve keys that had been accidentally locked in the vehicle. The subject who refused to comply with the deputy's request was identified as Hebert and was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

Chevell Francis, 26, 217 Pickett Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 24, 2016 at 6:36 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of tramadol and theft of goods. Francis was turned into the ST. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center by a bondsman. No bail is set.

Amber Swanson, 18, 3028 Keith Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on January 24, 2016 at 7:32 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of swimming, diving or fishing from parish bridges, wharf piers and boat ramps. A deputy located Swanson at a business on Brashear Avenue in Morgan City on the warrant. Swanson was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $557.50.
