St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Arrest Report

Ashlee Jimenez, 33, 911 Teche Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on January 27, 2016 at 7:51 pm on a warrant for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. In October 2015, detectives made contact with Jimenez during an investigation into a separate complaint and located marijuana in Jimenez's residence. A warrant was issued for her arrest. Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office located Jimenez at her residence. She was released on a summons to appear in court on March 30, 2016.

Morgan A. Lavergne, 21, 914 Second Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 27, 2016 at 11:07 am on a warrant for 2nd degree battery. A deputy received a call from the Paterson Police Department regarding a subject who had an active warrant for her arrest from the Sheriff's Office. A deputy located Lavergne at the Patterson Police Department and transported her to the parish jail. Lavergne was released on a $1,500 bond.

Jarvis Preston, 29, 1805 Joan Drive, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 27, 2016 at 6:38 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of no insurance, expired license plate, stop sign violation, and no turn signal. Preston was turned in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center by a bondsman on the warrant. He was later released on a $5,000 bond.

Terrance J. Derouen, 22, 10312 Old Jeanerette Road, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on January 27, 2016 at 7:07 pm on a warrant for attempted second degree murder, aggravated battery, and aggravated criminal damage to property. On January 27, 2016 shortly before 1:00 am, deputies responded to a complaint of gunfire being heard in the Charenton area and a complaint of a residence on Joe White Road being damaged. Detectives also responded to the scene. Investigators gathered evidence indicating that Derouen approached a mobile home with a handgun while screaming and cursing. He then fired several rounds in the direction of a female victim which struck and damaged the residence. Derouen then used the weapon to strike the victim in the head. After the encounter, Derouen left the area Detectives obtained a warrant for Derouen's arrest. Derouen turned himself in at the Baldwin Police Department where sheriff's deputies made the arrest. Derouen was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Valerie Navy, 27, 269 Verdun Lane, Lot #1, Verdunville, LA was arrested on January 27, 2016 at 9:40 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. Navy was brought to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center by a bondsman on the warrant. No bail is set.

Brent J. Bridges, 30, 132 Vaughn Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on January 28, 2016 at 3:12 am for failure to signal 100 feet prior to an intersection and possession of open alcoholic beverages in a motor vehicle. A deputy travelling on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista observed a vehicle decelerate quickly and abruptly make a turn without properly signaling the maneuver. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Bridges. While speaking with him, the deputy observed an open bottle of beer inside the vehicle. Following the investigation, Bridges was released on a summons to appear in court on March 30, 2016.
