10 people are on the latest 24-hour reporting period for the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report. Deputies say they responded to 39 complaints.

Juvenile male , 15, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on February 3, 2016 at 9:04 am for battery of a school teacher. A School Resource Officer responded to a complaint of a possible battery at the St. Mary Parish Alternative Program school in Verdunville. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that the juvenile punched a teacher in the face. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Johnny Freeman , 64, 204 Rt. 1, Hwy. 87, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 3, 2016 at 11:13 am for driving under suspension and speeding. A deputy on patrol in Four Corners observed a vehicle traveling 45 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone and conducted a traffic stop. Upon speaking with the driver, Freeman, the deputy discovered that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Freeman was released on a summons to appear in court on May 4, 2016.

Dean J. Beranek , 30, 117 Burchfield Lane, Berwick, LA was arrested on February 3, 2016 at 11:13 am on a Morgan City Police Department warrant for violation of a protective order. A deputy made contact with Beranek at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office headquarters in Franklin and located the active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.

Corey A. Mire , 27, 116 Kellers Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 3, 2016 at 6:54 pm on the following warrants:
- Warrant for resisting an officer
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, operating a vehicle without a driver’s license, and failure to honor written promise to appear
The warrant for resisting an officer was issued after Mire fled from a deputy who attempted to serve the warrants on Mire last week at a location in Amelia. Yesterday evening, a deputy located Mire at a residence on Kellers Lane on the warrants and transported him to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $6,510.65.

Blake Bush , 22, 1015 Oakdale Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 3, 2016 at 7:18 pm for proper equipment required, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy patrolling the Franklin area observed a subject riding a bicycle in the dark with no lights or reflective markings on Sterling Road. The deputy stopped the cyclist and identified him as Bush. The deputy advised Bush of the dangers of riding a bicycle with no reflective markers on the road at night. While speaking with him, the deputy received consent to search Bush and located a small amount of marijuana, a grinder, and a scale in his pocket. Bush was released on a summons to appear in court on May 4, 2016.

Juvenile male , 13, Amelia, LA was arrested on February 3, 2016 at 10:08 pm for criminal damage to property. While responding to a report of an ungovernable juvenile, a deputy collected evidence that the juvenile broke a female victim’s pair of glasses. Following the investigation, the juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Nancy Salinas , 35, 113 Martin Lane, Amelia, LA was arrested on February 4, 2016 at 12:53 am for disturbing the peace (noise) and resisting an officer (giving false information). A deputy responded to a complaint of loud music near Martin Lane in Amelia. The deputy located the source of the loud music and made contact with the resident, a female subject. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer learned that the female subject’s name was Salinas and that she had provided a false name. Bail is set at $1,500.

Judith Fabre , 23, 213 Bridge Road, Patterson, LA was arrested on February 4, 2016 at 4:42 am for the following offenses:
- Disturbing the peace (fighting)
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of failure to stop at a stop sign, operating a vehicle without a driver’s license on person, and failure to honor written promise to appear
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, speeding, and failure to honor written promise to appear

Schyler Stelly , 21, 508 General Macarthur Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 4, 2016 at 5:16 am for disturbing the peace (fighting)

Audry Farria , 25, 153 Mars Road, Apt. #3, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on February 4, 2016 at 5:16 am for disturbing the peace (fighting).

Deputies responded to an early morning report of a disturbance on Mars Road in Bayou Vista. Deputies made contact with three subjects, Fabre, Stelly, and Farria. During the investigation into the complaint, the deputies learned that a fistic encounter broke out among the three subjects during an argument. All three subjects were transported to the parish jail. During booking, a correctional officer located active warrants for Fabre. Fabre’s bail is set at $1,245. Stelly’s bail is set at $500. No bail is set for Farria.
