Alicia Sylvester, 27, 3247 Highway 1 Napoleonville, LA was arrested on February 4, 2016 at 12:33 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace (fighting). Sylvester turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Franklin. A deputy transported Sylvester to the parish jail for booking. She was released on a $1,000 bond.

Michael W. Martin, Jr., 32, 3510 Second Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on February 4, 2016 at 2:36 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A deputy made contact with Martin at a business in Berwick and located the active warrant for his arrest. Martin was released on a summons to appear in court on May 4, 2016.

Destry Weber, 50, 108 Jordan Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on February 5, 2016 at 12:25 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery, 2nd offense. A bounty hunter surrendered Weber to correctional officers at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.

Jeremiah J. Cortez, 38, 133 Dorothy Drive, Thibodaux, LA was arrested on February 4, 2016 at 2:51 pm for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstruction of justice. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division were contacted by Louisiana State Police to assist on a traffic stop on Highway 90 near the Berwick-Bayou Vista line. During the traffic stop for speeding, Cortez, the driver of a motorcycle, was observed throwing an object. The object was recovered and was determined to be a pipe used to smoke marijuana. During a search of Cortez, detectives located more marijuana. Cortez was cited for speeding and driving under suspension by Louisiana State Police and placed under arrest on the charges listed above St. Mary narcotics detectives. Cortez was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
