5 names appear on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report. Deputies say they responded to 34 complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period.

Justin Adams, 38, 324 Clarke Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on February 18, 2016 at 9:41 am for possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstruction of justice. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office developed credible information that Adams had illegal drugs at a business on US Highway 90 in Berwick. Detectives went to the location and found Adams at a gambling machine against a wall. Behind the machines, detectives located a container with a bag of methamphetamine inside it and a pipe used for smoking the substance. While speaking with detectives, Adams admitted that he threw the meth behind the machines when he saw them walk in. Detectives also collected video evidence of Adams' attempt to conceal the illegal substance. Adams was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Glenn N. Matthews, Jr., 38, 3366 Grand Caillou Road, Houma, LA was arrested on February 18, 2016 at 4:17 pm for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstruction of justice. Narcotics detectives along with members of the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division were patrolling the Amelia area. While on Friendship Alley, detectives observed a subject make eye contact, get up, and move away from detectives. Detectives then saw the subject drop a bag of marijuana on the ground as he was walking away. The subject, identified as Matthews, was detained. Detectives observed a pack of rolling papers where Matthews was sitting and a burnt marijuana cigarette. The bag of marijuana Matthews dropped was also recovered. Matthews was transported to the parish jail for booking. Matthews was released on a $4,500 bond.

Scarlett Burkart, 34, 119 Jamie Court, Bayou L'Ourse, LA was arrested on February 18, 2016 at 10:38 am on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of the drug court treatment program. Burkart turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City and was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $100,000.

Randy S. Landry, 40, 129 Mary Anne Street, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on February 18, 2016 at 10:57 am on 2 warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of the drug court treatment program. A deputy transported Landry from the Livingston Parish Detention Center to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. Bail is set at $200,000.

Marc A. Duhon, 28, 3009 Carrol Drive, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 18, 2016 at 1:06 pm on 2 warrants for failure to appear on the charge of conspiracy to commit distribution of Xanax. Duhon turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office in Morgan City and was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $14,500.
