Cole Fruge , 24, 1302 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 18, 2016 at 9:15 am for domestic abuse battery, criminal damage to property, and disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance in progress at a residence on Saturn Road in Bayou Vista. During the course of the investigation, the deputy found evidence that Fruge entered into a residence, breaking a window and striking a female victim in the face. Fruge was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Stephen Bias , 51, 303 Egle Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 18, 2016 at 11:30 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of forgery and theft. Bias was also charged on a warrant for failure to appear on possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles and on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A correctional officer transported Bias from the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin to the parish jail on the warrants. No bail is set.

Eddie L. Brown , 43, 1370 Joseph Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 18, 2016 at 6:58 pm on a warrant for no seatbelt, driving under suspension, and resisting an officer. On March 26, 2016, a deputy patrolling Siracusa initiated a traffic stop on James Street on a vehicle after observing that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. The driver failed to stop. The driver then exited the vehicle and fled from the deputy on foot. During the subsequent investigation, the deputy positively identified the driver as Brown and found that he was operating the vehicle with a driver’s license that was listed as suspended. The deputy obtained a warrant for Brown’s arrest. Yesterday, a deputy observed Brown going into his residence on Joseph Street. Bail is set at $2,250.

Jonah Madison , 21, Franklin, LA was additionally charged with 2 counts of battery of a correctional facility employee and criminal damage to property. On April 15, 2016, the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement security team began an investigation into a report of a battery of a correctional officer. Investigators found evidence that inmate Madison grabbed a correctional officer while the officer was searching Madison’s cell. Madison also damaged one of the jail’s phones. While moving the inmate to another area of the jail, the correctional officer was struck in the face by Madison. Madison remains incarcerated.
