Timothy J. Marcel , 46, 2300 E. Main St. Broussard, LA was arrested on April 20, 2016 at 10:44 am for possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office went to a boat dock in Berwick in reference to a complaint of the smell of marijuana in the area near a boat. While there, detectives spoke with Marcel who admitted to having a pipe used to smoke crack in his vehicle. Detectives located the pipe. Marcel was released on a summons to appear in court on July 25, 2016.

Jared Loupe , 38, 3127 Wytchwood Dr. Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 20, 2016 at 8:32 pm for the following offenses:
- Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
- Possession of fentanyl
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Improper lane use
Narcotics detectives traveling on Highway 90 in the Franklin area observed a vehicle swerving across the center line multiple times. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Loupe. While speaking with Loupe, detectives observed a bag of methamphetamine on Loupe’s person. Detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located more methamphetamine, a fentanyl patch, and a glass pipe. Narcotics detectives estimate the street value of the methamphetamine to be approximately $3,840. Loupe was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Jonah Madison , 21, 403 Clark Street, Franklin, LA was additionally charged on April 19, 2016 at 10:22 am for disarming a peace officer and battery of a correctional facility employee. The jail security team at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center conducted an investigation and found evidence that Madison took a taser cartridge from a correctional officer as the officer was placing Madison into a cell. The cartridge was recovered. Investigators also collected evidence that Madison struck a correctional officer while being moved into a cell during a separate incident. Madison remains incarcerated.

Seth A. Olander , 20, 459 Alice B Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on April 20, 2016 at 10:39 am for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and stop lamps and turn signals required on new motor vehicles. A deputy patrolling Jeanerette observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 319 with a brake light that was not functioning properly. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Olander. While speaking with Olander, the deputy smelled the odor of burning marijuana. The deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located marijuana, a grinder, and pack of cigars. Olander was transported to the parish jail for booking. Olander was released on a $3,750 bond.

Edward Bahwell, Jr. , 35, 515 Domingue Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on April 20, 2016 at 3:28 pm on 2 warrants for failure to appear on the charges of violation of a recreational gear license requirement, expired boat registration certificate, and failure to change ownership registration. A correctional officer transported Bahwell from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. Bahwell was released on a $1,000 bond.

Ron R. Madison , 40, 407 Rosebud Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on April 20, 2016 at 6:22 pm on a warrant for failure to register as s sex offender. Madison was convicted of contributing to the delinquency of juveniles in 1995. Madison failed to comply with sex offender registration requirements and a warrant was issued for his arrest. A correctional officer transported Madison from an East Baton Rouge Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

Renee Tabor , 40, 1569 Highway 317, Centerville, LA was arrested at 9:13 pm for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Deplin). Deputies were dispatched to a report of a reckless driver who was swerving and nearly struck other vehicles, road signs, and guardrails on Highway 90. Deputies responded and located the suspect vehicle in the parking lot of a business on Highway 317 in Centerville. A deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Tabor. While speaking with Tabor, the deputy observed that she had difficulty keeping her balance and had slurred speech. Tabor admitted to deputies that she had been taking a new prescription medicine. Deputies received consent to search the vehicle and located the prescribed medicine Tabor told them about. A deputy performed a field sobriety test. Tabor conducted the test poorly. Deputies also found a second prescribed substance for which Tabor could not provide a prescription. Following the investigation, Tabor was transported to the parish jail for booking. She was later transported to another facility for housing.
