6 names appear on the arrest report released by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. Theft and battery charges highlight the report. Deputies say they investigated 31 complaints over the last 24-hour reporting period.

Kristy R. Ribardi , 38, 106 Home Lane, Berwick, LA was arrested on April 21, 2016 at 1:36 pm on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. Ribardi turned herself in to a deputy with the Warrants Division at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. Following her arrest, the deputy released Ribardi on a summons to appear in court on July 25, 2016.

Ronnie Lake , 33, 813 Duke Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 21, 2016 at 3:31 pm on a warrant for simple assault.

Robert Stansbury, Jr. , 32, 1400 ½ North Third Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 21, 2016 at 3:31 pm on a warrant for simple battery.

The warrants were issued following an investigation into a complaint of a battery. A deputy collected evidence that Lake threatened a male victim with physical violence and that Stansbury pushed a male victim during a confrontation at a residence in Patterson.
A deputy patrolling the Patterson area observed a group of people swimming near the Half Bridge on Victoria Riverside Road. While advising the group of the parish ordinance prohibiting swimming from bridges, the deputy made contact with Lake and Stansbury and located the active warrants for their arrests. Lake and Stansbury were transported to the parish jail for booking. Lake was later released on a summons to appear in court on July 25, 2016. Stansbury was released on a $500 bond.

Merlin M. Venable , 52, 1064 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on April 21, 2016 at 7:58 pm for theft. A deputy investigating a reported theft at the Amelia Belle Casino in Amelia found evidence that Venable took another customer’s ticket and cashed it out. Venable was located at his residence and following the investigation, transported to the parish jail for booking. Venable was released on a $1,000 bond.

Amy Turner , 41, 121 Guzzetta Drive, Berwick, LA was arrested on April 21, 2016 at 9:21 pm for theft of goods and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Erica Alexander , 33, 121 Guzzetta Drive, Berwick, LA was arrested on April 21, 2016 at 9:21 pm for theft of goods.

A deputy investigating a report of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista made contact with two suspects, Turner and Alexander. The deputy found several items concealed in their purses that Turner and Alexander had not paid for. The deputy also received consent to search the vehicle the two suspects were in and located a glass pipe used to consume methamphetamine. Turner and Alexander were released on summonses to appear in court on July 25, 2016.
