The following is a list of the people who were booked into the St. Mary Parish Jail System for July 22, 2016:

Bobbie Fitch, 34, 1536 Highway 90 West, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 22, 2016 at 12:39 pm for disturbing the peace (offensive language). A deputy responded to a disturbance at the address listed above and made contact with Fitch. During the course of the investigation, the deputy collected evidence that Fitch and another female subject were engaged in a verbal argument causing a disturbance in neighborhood. The deputy also noted previous similar complaints from the residence involving the two subjects. Fitch was transported to the parish jail for booking and was later released on a summons to appear in court on October 17, 2016. The investigation is ongoing.

John Serrano-Garcia, 26, 211 Mechanic Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 21, 2016 at 9:30 pm for the following offenses:

-     Maximum speed limit

-     Failure to signal 100 feet prior to an intersection

-     No driver’s license

-     Failure to obtain registration

-     Possession of marijuana

-     Possession of cocaine

-     Possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles

A deputy patrolling Highway 182 in the Franklin area observed a vehicle traveling 68 miles per hour in a posted 55 miles per hour zone. The deputy also observed the vehicle fail to signal a turn onto Katy Bridge Approach Road. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Serrano-Garcia. The driver was unable to provide the deputy with a license, proof of insurance, or vehicle registration. While speaking with Serrano-Garcia, the deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located a burnt marijuana cigarette, a small bag containing cocaine, and an open can of beer. Serrano-Garcia was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Tanya B. Authement, 44, 1222 Main Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 21, 2016 at 10:29 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division assisting the Morgan City Police Department made contact with Authement in Morgan City. While speaking with her, Authement admitted that she had marijuana and paraphernalia items at her residence in Patterson. Detectives received consent to search the location and found the marijuana, several pipes, and grinders. Authement was released on a summons to appear in court on October 17, 2016.
