The following is a list of the people who were booked into the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office for July 25, 2016:

Andrea M. Ackman, 32, 714 Julia Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on July 22, 2016 at 10:56 am for violation of the parish ordinance governing the confinement of animals. A deputy responded to Julia Street in Amelia in reference to a complaint of a dog chasing a subject in the street. When the deputy arrived in the area, the animal came out of a yard and began barking at the deputy. The deputy made contact with the owner, Ackman, and advised her that the animal was on the loose. Ackman was released on a summons to appear in court on October 17, 2016.

Scotty Pellerin, 35, 905 Dartez Drive, New Iberia, LA was arrested on July 22, 2016 at 3:42 pm on a warrant for telephone harassment. A warrant was issued for Pellerin following an investigation into a complaint of harassment. The deputy collected evidence that Pellerin sent threatening text messages to a male victim. Pellerin turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. He was released on a $750 bond.

Dion Maize, 24, 710 Sixth Street, Morgan City, LA was additionally charged with home invasion and a second count of armed robbery on July 23, 2016 at 4:49 pm. Continuing an investigation into the armed robbery and shooting that occurred Saturday (see http://www.stmaryso.com/press_view.php?id=737 ), detectives found evidence connecting Maize to another armed robbery that reportedly occurred in the early morning hours Thursday at a residence in the 3000 block of Lake Palourde Road in Amelia. Maize was already incarcerated. No bail is set. Both investigations are ongoing.

Brett M. LeBoeuf, 21, 1700 Dale Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 24, 2016 at 4:52 am for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. A deputy responding to a complaint of a reckless driver on Highway 90 in the Patterson area. The deputy located the suspect vehicle, conducted a traffic stop, and made contact with the driver, identified as LeBoeuf. While speaking with him, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. A standardized field sobriety test was administered and LeBoeuf conducted it poorly. LeBoeuf later registered a 0.181g% blood alcohol concentration on a breath test. He was transported to the parish jail for booking. LeBoeuf was released after posting a $750 bond.

Jody L. Foster, 50, 308 Carol Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 23, 2016 at 8:06 pm for simple battery. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence in Bayou Vista. During the investigation, the deputy found evidence that Foster used his index finger to hit a female victim in the head during an argument. Foster was transported to the parish jail for booking. Foster was released on a $500 bond.

Dillon Miguez, 22, 207 E 2nd Street, Broussard, LA was arrested on July 24, 2016 at 11:42 pm for the following offenses:

-     Resisting an officer

-     Resisting an officer (giving false information)

-     3 counts, criminal damage to property

-     2 counts, criminal trespass

-     Unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling

-     Possession of alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles

A deputy responded to a vehicle fire on Charenton Levee Road and observed a pick-up truck on fire in the yard of a residence. Fire fighters were on scene working to extinguish the fire. The deputy made contact with Miguez who was standing nearby watching the truck burn. Miguez initially lied to the deputy about his name and denied owning the vehicle. The deputy then found evidence that Miguez was the owner of the truck that caught fire and caused damage to the yard and some powerlines. As the deputy attempted to make contact with Miguez a second time, the suspect fled into the nearby woods. The deputy gave chase and apprehended Miguez. Through the course of the investigation, the deputy also found evidence that Miguez was joy riding on the levee causing damage to the flood control structure. The deputy also collected evidence that Miguez was in possession of a cup containing an alcoholic beverage while in the truck and that he entered into a residence in the area without permission. Miguez was transported to the parish jail of booking. No bail is set.

Karen Fleetwood, 51, 1018 Fifth Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 23, 2016 at 12:36 pm for improper lane usage and possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine). Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division patrolling Amelia observed a vehicle cross over the fog line on Joel Boulevard. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Fleetwood. Detectives observed that Fleetwood was extraordinarily nervous. While speaking with detectives, Fleetwood turned over two small baggies containing crack cocaine that she had hidden on her person. Following the investigation, Fleetwood was transported to the parish jail for booking and incarceration. Fleetwood was released on a $2,500 bond.

Micah Soileau, 18, 512 Joey Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 23, 2016 at 2 :22 pm for possession of Schedule I (marijuana). Narcotics detectives patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign on Saturn Road and Jupiter Street. Detectives conducted a traffic stop. As they made contact with the occupants of the vehicle, detectives smelled the strong odor of burnt marijuana. The passenger, identified as Soileau, admitted to detectives that he had marijuana and turned over a bag of the illegal substance. Soileau was released on a summons to appear in court on October 17, 2016.

Trevor Alfano, 18, 1700 Walnut Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 23, 2016 at 5:44 pm for improper lane usage, possession of Schedule I (marijuana), and possession of drug paraphernalia. Narcotics detectives patrolling Franklin observed a vehicle on Barrow Street swerve off the roadway. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Alfano. While speaking with him, detectives smelled the strong odor of raw marijuana emanating from the vehicle. While investigating the suspected presence of the illegal drug, detectives recovered a bag of marijuana, a marijuana grinder, and a cigar wrap. Alfano was released on a summons to appear in court on October 17, 2016.
