The following is a list of the people who were booked into the St. Mary Parish Jail for Monday, December 19, 2016:

Michael J. Martin, 28, 228 Daggs Street, Pankerville, LA was arrested on December 16, 2016 at 12 :07 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license and failure to obey a traffic device. A correctional officer transported Martin from the Lafourche Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Bail is set at $5,000.

Stephanie Robertson, 33, 313 East Simcoe Street, Apt. #9, Lafayette, LA was arrested on December 16, 2016 at 1:18 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle without a driver’s license, vehicle not covered by security, and improper driving left of center of roadway. A correctional officer transported Robertson from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Bail is set at $500.

Bricelon Martin, 20, 1192 Chitimacha Trail, Baldwin, LA was arrested on December 16, 2016 at 10:31 pm for domestic abuse battery. Deputies investigating a report of domestic abuse found evidence that Martin struck a female victim in the face during an argument at a residence in Baldwin. Martin was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $2,500.

2 juvenile females, ages 15 and 16, both of Patterson, LA were arrested on December 16, 2016 at 10:42 pm for disturbing the peace (fighting).

Erykah Singleton, 17, 820 Tall Timbers Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on December 16, 2016 at 10:42 pm for disturbing the peace (fighting).

A deputy responded to a report of a fight that occurred in the Patterson High School parking lot. During the investigation, the deputy gathered evidence that the 2 juveniles and Singleton engaged in physical altercation resulting from an ongoing argument. The 2 juveniles were released to their guardians. Singleton was released on a summons to appear in court on March 8, 2017.

Kenneth Benoit, 35, 122 Teddy Street, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on December 17, 2016 at 3:31 am for criminal mischief. A deputy responded to a report of a suspicious person on Jupiter Street in Bayou Vista. The deputy located a male subject laying on the floor board of a truck parked near the complainant’s residence. The deputy also located a glove and folding knife belonging to Benoit on the side of the residence. Following the investigation, Benoit was released on a summons to appear in court on March 8, 2017. 

Ryan Gaudet, 19, 693 Paige Lane, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on December 17, 2016 at 3:35 am for careless operation of a motor vehicle and possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles.

Regan Nohra, 22, 401 Shell Beach Road, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on December 17, 2016 at 3:35 am for possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles and unlawful purchase of alcoholic beverages by persons on behalf of persons under 21.

A deputy patrolling the Calumet area observed a vehicle spin out of control on US Highway 90. The driver then continued to travel on the roadway. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Gaudet, and 2 passengers, one of whom was identified as Nohra. While speaking with the occupants, the deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located open containers of beer. Nohra admitted to the deputy that she purchased the alcohol for Gaudet. Both subjects were released on summonses to appear in court on March 8, 2016.

Blaise Crane, 22, 212 Southeast Boulevard Apt D, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 17, 2016 at 11:18 pm for domestic abuse battery.

Justin Stratton, 27, 212 Southeast Boulevard Apt. D, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 17, 2016 at 12:28 pm for domestic abuse battery and simple criminal damage to property.

A deputy responded to a report of a fight at a residence in Bayou Vista. The deputy found evidence that Stratton and Crane were involved in an argument when Stratton swung his fist at Crane, missed, and struck a window of the residence breaking it. The 2 then began fighting. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $2,750 for Stratton. No bail is set for Crane.

Thomas Fontenot, 63, 121 St. Joseph Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 17, 2016 at 11:07 pm for resisting an officer and on a warrant for failure to appear in the charge of simple battery. A deputy patrolling Irish Bend Road in Franklin observed a male subject standing on the corner of St. Joseph Lane. The deputy stopped to speak with the subject, identified him as Fontenot, and located an active warrant for his arrest. During the arrest, Fontenot fled from the deputy on foot. The deputy pursued and apprehended him. Fontenot was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Maurice J. Mack, 34, 1601 Cynthia Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 18, 2016 at 2:30 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy responding to an unrelated complaint at a residence in Franklin, a deputy made contact with Mack and located the active warrant for his arrest. The deputy transported Mack to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $2,520.83.

Monique Mayer, 49, 200 Migues Road, New Iberia, LA was arrested on December 18, 2016 at 4:47 am on a warrant from Iberia Parish for failure to appear on the charges of operation of a vehicle while intoxicated, reckless operation of a vehicle, and possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles. A deputy responded to an unrelated complaint in Cypremort Point made contact with Mayer and located the active warrant for her arrest. The deputy transported Mayer to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Ryan Bowman, 21, 181 Jupiter Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on December 18, 2016 at 9:50 am on a warrant from the City Court of Morgan City for failure to attend and complete a court ordered program.

Wesley Rink, 21, 108 Bayou Beouf Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on December 18, 2016 at 9:54 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.  

A deputy went to Bowman’s residence to serve the warrant. While there, the deputy observed Bowman and Rink pull into the driveway. Bowman was advised of the warrant and was taken into custody. The deputy also spoke with Rink and located an active warrant for his arrest. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Jerrius N. Charles, 17, 606 St. Charles Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on December 18, 2016 at 8:34 pm for aggravated flight from an officer, illegal possession of stolen things, and no driver’s license. A deputy working in Baldwin observed a vehicle speeding on Rail Road Avenue. The deputy also observed that the driver failed to stop at the stop sign on Orphan Home Road. The deputy initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to pull over and began traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 182 forcing other vehicles off the roadway. The deputy continued to follow the vehicle onto Chitimacha Trail, LA Highway 324, and LA Highway 87 into Iberia Parish. The vehicle came to stop after the driver lost control of the car and crashed into a ditch on Highway 87. A passenger then got out of the car and fled on foot into a wooded area. The deputy ordered the driver out of the vehicle. The driver was identified as Charles. While detaining him, Charles fled on foot. Deputies pursued him over 2 metal fences and apprehended him. During the subsequent investigation, deputies found that Charles was driving a car that was reported stolen from Iberia Parish. Deputies also found that Charles was operating the vehicle without a driver’s license. Charles was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set. The case remains under investigation.
