6 people show up on the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office arrest report, which covers the 72-hour reporting weekend. Charges range from drug violations to driving violations to acts of violence. Deputies say they investigated 116 complaints.

Danny P. Freia, Jr. , 29, 2704 Highway 182, Patterson, LA was arrested on April 1, 2016 at 11:31 am on 2 warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy received information regarding Freia’s whereabouts and located him at a business in Bayou Vista. Freia was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $200,000.

Kegan Clements , 26, 311 Grey Eagle Road #1, Charenton, LA was arrested on April 4, 2016 at 6:33 am for domestic abuse battery and resisting an officer. A deputy was dispatched to a disturbance at a residence in Charenton. With the assistance of a Chitimacha Tribal Police Department Officer, the deputy gathered evidence that Clements was involved in a physical encounter with a female victim and caused bruising to the victim’s arm. During Clements arrest, he attempted to pull away from the deputy. Clements also refused to enter the police unit following his arrest. After being placed in the unit, Clements repeatedly banged his forehead on the window of the vehicle. Clements was subsequently transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Jarrod M. Powers , 31, 406 Main Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on April, 3, 2016 at 5:15 pm for driving under suspension and expired motor vehicle inspection sticker. A deputy patrolling the Jeanerette area found a large crowd of people gathered on De Sonier Road. While clearing the crowd and directing traffic away from the area, a deputy observed a vehicle with an expired inspection sticker. The deputy spoke with the driver, identified as Powers, and also found that his driver’s license was listed as suspended. Powers was released on a summons to appear in court on July 25, 2016.

Donald Graham, Jr. , 44, 504 Carol Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 3, 2016 at 9:03 pm for the following offenses:
- Driving under suspension
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of hunting migratory game bird with an unplugged gun, failure to comply with personal flotation device requirements, improper running lights, hunting in a wildlife management area without a permit, not abiding by the rules and regulations of a WMA, and possession of lead shot while duck hunting
A deputy traveling on Highway 90 in Berwick observed a vehicle pulling a boat trailer with no lights and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, Graham, and found that he was operating the vehicle with a driver’s license that is listed as suspended. The deputy also located two active warrants for Graham’s arrest. The deputy transported him to the parish jail for booking. Graham was released on a $2,500 bond.

Brian Corsey , 33, 1701 Jefferson Island Road, New Iberia, LA was arrested on April 4, 2016 at 1:35 am for the following offenses:
- Driving under suspension
- Maximum speed limit
- Iberia Parish warrant for possession of Schedule I drugs and disturbing the peace (offensive language)
- Iberia Parish warrant for failure to appear on the charges of no seat belt and suspended driver’s license
- Iberia Parish warrant for no seat belt and driving under suspension
A deputy traveling on Highway 90 in the Calumet area observed a vehicle travelling 85 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour zone and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Corsey. While speaking with the driver, the deputy discovered that he was operating the vehicle with a driver’s license that is listed as suspended. The deputy also located three active warrants from Iberia Parish for Corsey’s arrest. The deputy transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Jarrette Babineaux , 28, 2413 Headgon Court, Covington, LA was arrested on April 4, 2016 at 4:09 am on a warrant for probation violation and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of introducing contraband into a penal institution. Babineaux was brought to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center by a prison transport service on the warrant. No bail is set.
