The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is this Saturday, May 14th.

It is a day in where you are encouraged to leave non-perishable food items in your mailbox prior to your postal employee delivering your mail.  They will collect the items and deliver them to a local food bank.

Suggested items include:

  • tuna
  • soup
  • meat (in a can)
  • dry pasta
  • dry beans
  • canned beans
  • peanut butter
  • cornbread mix
  • flour
  • sugar
  • any canned vegetable

Sponsored by the National Association of Letter Carriers, who have been doing this drive for 24 years now.

If you are unable to or forget to leave items in your mailbox this Saturday, here are other options for donating the food items.
