Stansbury Stepping Down After 31 Years

A press release received from the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office states that 31-year LPSO veteran Capt. Craig Stansbury has retired from the force.

Effective as of Saturday, another 31-year veteran, Capt. John Babin will serve as executive officer of the enforcement division. With this new position, Babin will supervise the civil department process servers, the LPSO evidence department and serve as the primary public information officer for the sheriff's office.

Babin was formerly the Commander of Metro Narcotics within the LPSO.
