State Awards Lafayette Police

The Lafayette Police Department was ranked number four statewide for the highest number of OWI arrests. 

Lafayette police arrested 847 people in 2010.  Of that number, Corporal Jarvis Mayfield made thirty-two percent of those arrests.  Mayfield received the number two spot in the state for his arrests.  Police Chief Jim Craft says Mayfield exemplifies the dedication and professionalism of the department's ATAC program.
