Two deaths this year have state health officials cautioning those who use neti pots to cleanse their sinuses. The neti pots aren't the problem. It's the type of water that the two victims apparently used with it. Dr. David Holcombe with Department of Health and Hospitals says tap water, even though its safe to drink, contains an amoeba the brain can't handle. He says instead use saline or distilled water.
