State Park Reopening

A portion of the beach at Grand Isle State Park has been reopened for the first time in nearly a year. The beach had been closed since the BP oil spill. The area of the beach now open stretches from the western boundary of the park to the RV camping area. While the eastern portion of the beach remains closed, its fishing pier is open.
