According to this recent article, the State of Louisiana is paying the tab for Governor Bobby Jindal when he travels out of state.  While that does not mean that we pay for airline tickets for the Governor or any of the other things associated with travel, what we do pay for is Governor Jindal's security.

So, when Governor Jindal went around the country stumping for Mitt Romney, the state had to pay $18,000 for his security detail.  That includes hotel rooms, meals, flights and taxis for his security detail.

Since Governor Jindal took office, State Police are citing at least $226,500 spent by them on out of state travel for Governor Jindal.
