Louisiana State Police Troopers arrested 31-year-old Tasha Boudreaux of Patterson for charges related to a fatal crash on Highway 90 in Calumet on April 15th of this year.  The crash took the life of Boudreaux's passenger, 33-year-old Ryan Boudreaux.

Troopers received Boudreaux's toxicology report from the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab.  The report indicated Boudreaux was under the influence of narcotics when the crash happened.

Police say that information and other data gathered during their investigation, they were able to get an arrest warrant for Boudreaux, and she was arrested without incident this morning.

Boudreaux was booked into the St. Mary Parish Jail on charges of:

  • Vehicular Homicide
  • Careless operation
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Vehicular negligent injuring

According to State Police, Boudreaux was driving eastbound on Highway 90 on the afternoon of April 15th, 2013, when she went off the left side of the road, crossed the median and went into the westbound lanes.  Boudreaux's car was then hit on its right side by a van driven by Jona Laborde of Youngsville.

Boudreaux' passenger, Ryan Boudreaux of Patterson was pronounced dead at the scene by the St. Mary Parish Coroner.

Tasha Boudreaux received moderate injuries, while Laborde and her 3-year-old passenger were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
