State Police Layoffs

They say it hasn't happened in the 75-year history of the organization, but Louisiana State Police say layoffs could be coming. In a news release issued yesterday, the agency says the reduction in force could happen because of a budget amendment that strips $800,000 from its Traffic Enforcement Program.
