State Treasurer John Kennedy Says Louisiana Budget Can Be Fixed

State Treasurer John Kennedy visited on Mornings With Ken & Bernie today to discuss the state's $25 billion budget.  Kennedy said the state budget has increased 32% in the last six years.

As in past budget years the Legislature is posturing about the budget crisis instead of fixing the budget. Kennedy said, "It's not how much money we have, we have enough, it's how we're spending it."

Kennedy went on to say that last year as in others the governor and the legislature have used one-time money to balance the budget which continues to add to the budget deficit in coming years.
