State’s Unemployment Rate Holds Steady

Louisiana's unemployment rate held steady in June at just over eight percent, while the U.S. rate increased to slightly more than nine percent.  The Louisiana Workforce Commission says the state marked its tenth consecutive month of over-the-year gain in private employment.  The increase in June was 26,000 compared to June 2010.
