Stephensville-Belle River Residents Self-Evacuation

With water continuing to rise in the Mississippi and Atchafalaya Rivers, residents in the Stephensville-Belle River area are being urged to self-evacuate. All valuable possessions should be moved to higher ground prior to evacuation and all water, gas, and electrictiy should be shut off at the main source. A public awareness meeting regarding the potential flooding issues for Stephensville and Belle river will be held Monday at 6:30 pm at the Stephensville Elementary School. St. Martin Parish Government Officials will be there to discuss preventative measures.
