LOS ANGELES (AP) — "I'm not a racist."

That's what Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling says in a taped CNN interview set to air Monday.

Sterling apologized for making racist comments that led to his being banned for life from the NBA.

He says those comments were a "terrible mistake."

In an ABC interview, Sterling's estranged wife Shelly says she'll fight to keep per 50 percent ownership of the Clippers even if other NBA owners decide that her husband must sell.

But an NBA spokesman says based on the NBA constitution, her interests would be terminated as well.
