Many of us have superstitions. Don't walk under a ladder. Breaking a mirror is 7 years bad luck. So is having a black cat cross your path, and the list goes on. Some people think the number 13 is unlucky, especially Friday the 13th. I don't, became a father for the first time on a Friday the 13th. Sports fans (and participants) tend to be especially superstitious. Hockey players stop shaving when they go to the playoffs. Baseball players avoid stepping on the foul line when they take the field. Michael Jordan wore a pair of North Carolina gym shorts under his Chicago Bulls uniform. Saints head coach Sean Payton revealed his only superstition in an interview several years ago. He chews Juicy Fruit gum on the sideline...ONLY Juicy Fruit! At the beginning of the 2011 season, KTDY listeners donated more than 100 packs of it. We sent them to coach Payton & the Saints offense rewrote the NFL record book that season. After viewing last week's edition of my weekly YouToube feature, "70 seconds of Saints," I decided I need a haircut. They're on a 5 game winning streak!
