Stocks Reverse Losses On Good Economic Data: Acadiana Business Index

The Dow Jones Industrial Average down 1 points 12,981.
The number of home buyers who signed contracts to purchase previously owned homes grew last month. Meanwhile, a reading on February's manufacturing activity in the Dallas area rose at a faster rate this month than last.
In corporate news,
Lowe's gained 0.7% after the home-improvement retailer reported better-than-expected earnings and revenue.
Motorola Solutions said will buy about 24 million shares from investor Carl Icahn for $49.15 a share. Transocean's fourth-quarter revenue grew more than expected. Shares gained 5.3%.
And, private-equity giant Blackstone Group confirmed a $2 billion investment in Cheniere Energy Partners, allowing the company to build a gas-liquefaction plant in Sabine Pass, La., the first of its kind in the U.S.
Crude oil settled at $108.56 a barrel.
Gold closed at $1,775 an ounce
