BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — Damage to the foul poles at LSU's Alex Box Stadium has been repaired for Tuesday's game baseball game against Alcorn State.

A storm - carrying winds of 50-plus mph - snapped the right and left field metal foul poles Monday. One was left lying on Skip Bertman Field and the other toppled out of the park on the concourse beyond right field.

Coach Paul Mainieri tells The Advocate temporary foul poles of about 20 feet will be in place for Tuesday night's game. Mainieri says new foul poles will be in place by the time LSU hosts Missouri in the final regular home series of the season May 8-10.
