"Eli's Reach" book cover

An inspiring story about Eli Judice, how he is overcoming spina bifida and is now leading a very normal life, will be told to the world Thursday night on EWTN.

Spina bifida, according to dictionary.com, is "a congenital neural tube defect in which part of the meninges or spinal cord protrudes through the spinal column, often resulting in neurological impairment." But, his father Chad, a teacher at St. Thomas More in Lafayette, says his son is now doing well. He has already written two popular pro-life books, titled "WAITING FOR ELI: A Father's Journey from Fear to Faith" and "ELI'S REACH: On the Value of Human Life and the Power of Prayer." Now, he will get to tell an international audience on the program called "The World Over," with Raymond Arroyo. It's a program that's estimated to reach 100 million viewers.

With Eli's story becoming so well-known, he has become a symbol of the pro-life movement not only in Louisiana but in several parts of the U.S.

"The World Over" starts at 7:00 p.m CST. The program will be re-run on Friday at 8:00 a.m. CST, Sunday at 6:00 p.m. CST and Monday at 9:00 p.m. CST.
