Student Arrested At Beau Chene High School On Terrorizing Charge

A 14-year-old student was arrested Monday morning after allegedly posting a threat on Facebook.

St. Landry Parish Sheriff Bobby Guidroz says deputies were called to Beau Chene High School around 8:19 a.m. Monday morning. Sheriff Guidroz says they were able to arrest the student within a couple of hours.

Sheriff Guidroz says “the suspect and his legal guardian were brought to the Criminal Investigation Division for questioning. During the interrogation, the fourteen-year-old male student admitted to officers that he had posted the threatening text messages.

The teenager has been charged with terrorizing and was brought to a local hospital for evaluation. Sheriff Guidroz went on to say:
