Sulphur Man Dies In Calcasieu Parish Crash

An early morning crash proves fatal for 53-year-old Dallas R. McDonald, Sr. of Sulphur.

La. State Police say McDonald died after crossing the centerline on U.S. Highway 90 nearly two miles east of Sulphur and crashing into two other vehicles. McDonald's Nissan Altima first crashed into 66-year-old Joseph L. Machulski's Toyota Tacoma, then into a Chevy Silverado driven by 41-year-old Mark A. Benoit. The crash happened before 6:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Fortunately, the other two drivers, both of Sulphur, were able to walk away with minor to moderate injuries.

Police continue to investigate as they await a routine toxicology sample.
