Surrey Street Man Arrested In Overnight Homicide

Lafayette Parish Sheriff's detectives were called out to the 100 block of Camp Road last night after someone reported a body in the roadway.

Police have arrested 32-year-old Kenny Duffy in the death of Calvin Gabriel Jr.

Investigators say that Gabriel died from blunt force trauma to his head along with what they say are "other contributing factors".

Duffy was arrested at his home in the 600 block of Surrey Street in Lafayette.

He has been charged with second degree murder.
