DUSON, La. (KPEL) -- Police have arrested a man for allegedly setting fire to a vacant mobile home in Duson.

According to Lafayette fire investigator Alton Trahan, firefighters from Duson, Scott, and Judice were called out Monday evening to the mobile home on Cocodril Road. When fire crews arrived, Trahan said they found the front porch was on fire.

Arson investigators determined the fire was intentionally set, Trahan said.

A suspect, 64-year-old William Riley, was arrested on charges of simple arson for allegedly setting the home on fire. Trahan said Riley lived in the neighborhood and was unhappy with the site of the vacant home and property.
