Scott Police say 36-year-old Chris Merridith has been arrested in connection with the armed robbery that happened on February 12, 2011.

In a story last week, KPEL News told you that a clerk at the Cameron Street store says Merridith started placing items on the counter, then demanded all the money in the register or he would shoot her. He got away that day but is finally behind bars after police found and arrested him at an Auto Detail business in Crowley.

Merridith was transported to Acadia Parish Jail where he will be booked on the Scott City Police warrant and then later transported to Lafayette Correctional Center to face charges in Lafayette Parish.
