Suspect Pursued After Shooting into Lafayette Home
Around 3:15 this morning, Lafayette Police were called out the 500 block of Orchid Drive after a shooting happened.
Police say there were 13 people inside of the home at the time, and someone looked out the window at the time of the shooting, and says the suspect is 37-year-old Kevin Alexander.
Alexander, police say, is the estranged ex-boyfriend of the one of the people inside of the Orchid residence. No one was injured in the shooting.
Lafayette Police say the suspect was seen fleeing down I-10 westbound, and multiple law enforcement agencies pursued Alexander.
Louisiana State Police and Lafayette Police were able to stop Alexander's truck at mile marker 43.
Alexander was taken into custody and booked on 13 counts of attempted 1st degree murder and aggravated flight from an officer.
