Suspect Robs A Lafayette Man of Puppies, Cellphone And Backpack

Lafayette Police were called to the 1100 block of Moss Street before 11 o'clock last night after a victim told them he was robbed at gunpoint after the suspect came to his home under the guise of possibly buying two pit bull puppies that the victim was selling.

The victim says after negotiating with the suspect for several minutes, the suspect suddenly pulled out a handgun.  He stole the victim's puppies, cellphone, and backpack.

The victim says he was not hurt, and after stealing his things, the suspect fled the area.  The suspect is described as a black male with a medium build.

Lafayette Police are asking anyone with information to contact the Lafayette Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
