Suspect Sought In Houma Shooting Death

HOUMA, La. (AP) — Authorities in the Houma area are looking for a 22-year-old suspect in last week's fatal shooting at a trailer park.

The victim was 40-year-old Ron Pierre. He was found dead around 8:30 p.m. on May 15 at a trailer park just off Houma's East Main Street.

The Courier reports that the suspect is Jerome Jones of Houma. A warrant for Jones' arrest on a first-degree murder charge has been issued.

A dispute over drugs is believed to have led to the shooting.
