SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) — Police in Shreveport continue to look for the man who shot a convenience store owner during a robbery.

The robbery happened Monday night.

Police say the armed, masked bandit entered the store and demanded money. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the man fired shots. The owner, 48-year-old Syeb Jaffri of Bossier City man, was struck in the upper body at least once.

Police said the owner may have returned fire.

KTBS TV reports Jaffri is listed in fair condition at LSU Health Sciences Center.
