Employees at the Dollar General Store in the 400 block of Bertrand Drive were held at gunpoint last night by two suspects wearing Halloween masks who demanded money.

Lafayette Police Corporal Paul Mouton says witnesses described the two suspects as two black males wearing Halloween masks.  They demanded money from the store workers, and the employees cooperated with the thieves.  They turned over an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the suspects then fled the store in an unknown direction.

Police say one employee was rather "shaken up" by the events of the evening, and did receive treatment for some minor injuries.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to either call the Lafayette Police Department or Lafayette Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
