Swerving Driver Arrested In St. Mary Parish

St. Mary Parish Sheriff's officials say they arrested a Patterson woman Saturday morning in a parking lot off of Highway 182 in Bayou Vista.

Police say 51-year-old Fran Keller was charged with the following:

• Two counts of battery on a police officer
• Disturbing the peace
• Resisting an officer
• Careless operation of a motor vehicle

Deputies say they were called out to the area after a complaint of a driver swering in traffic.

They say they started talking to Keller who began to argue with deputies and hit them.
