Shreveport Representative Alan Seabaugh has withdrawn his bill requiring candidates for president and other offices to prove their U.S. citizenship before their names could be placed on a Louisiana ballot.

A Shreveport lawmaker still plans on going forward with his so called birther bill even though President Barack Obama has released his long form birth certificate to prove he was born in the United States.
