Though a contingent of parents agree that rezoning schools from Youngsville to Broussard is imminent, the Lafayette Parish School Board voted to move the affected students sooner than they would like.
Disagreement arose Wednesday night between Lafayette Parish School System Dr. Pat Cooper and Lafayette Parish School Board members over expansion plans for Green T. Lindon Elementary School in Youngsville.
Kyle Bordelon, school district facilities planning director, says the council's decision doesn't affect the Lindon project because a permanent classroom wing addition will be built on School Board-owned property and not on the donated land.
