President Barack Obama was scheduled to speak this morning at a campaign stop in Fort Myers, Florida. Instead of speaking about his upcoming re-election campaign, he instead delivered a speech on the ‘Dark Knight Rises’ shooting in Aurora, Colorado.

After the ‘Dark Knight Rises’ shooting that left 12 people dead and another 50 injured, theaters across the country are addressing security concerns as sold-out crowds return to theaters for the weekend.

*UPDATE* The suspect of the shooting has been identified as James Holmes. 50 people are also being reported as injured. A shooting at a movie theater in Aurora, CO left at least 12 dead and dozens more were injured after a gunman opened fire at a midnight showing of ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ last night.
