President-elect Donald Trump will be in Baton Rouge on Friday to encourage voters to cast their ballot for Republican John Kennedy for U.S. Senate.

The Lafayette Parish School Board received the lion's share of the tax bond revenue approved for Lafayette Parish projects this month.

The commission approved three projects in two Acadiana parishes for the month of November.

The state treasurer's office reported more than $308 million will be distributed statewide.

The refinancing still needs approval from the Bond Commission.
