Temperatures in south Louisiana have been hitting triple digits. On a 100 degree day, the temperature inside your car can easily exceed 130 degrees, even reach 140, depending on its color & size. When you're about to get in & drive, I suggest you take a couple extra minutes. Open all the doors, then stand back for a moment. Yeah, I know, you're probably thinking, "What?! Stand around in 100 degree heat?!" It's much hotter in the car. You can see the heat shimmer in the air as it escapes. Start the engine, crank the A/C and roll the windows down. Close the doors, and start driving. Slowly roll the windows up, one by one, driver's window last. Leave it cracked about 2" until you feel cool air on your neck. Trust me, it works!
