Tax Break Bill Approved For Private School Parents

The State Senate approves a bill that would give parents with children in private schools a larger tax break. The bill's author, Grosse Tete Senator Rob Marionneaux, says the bill would allow a $5000 state income
tax deduction per child for private school tuition. He says this would reduce state revenue by $5.3 million a year. Marionneaux says this is a way the state can give back to hard working parents. (The bill now moves to the House.)
