Wednesday night the Youngsville City Council will be holding a special meeting to consider final adoption for a one cent sales tax increase.  The sales tax increase would be used for a new sport complex in Youngsville.

Youngsville Mayor Wilson Viator joined "Mornings With Ken & Bernie" today to talk about tomorrow night's meeting and the proposal.  If the council votes for final adoption of the measure, then the voters will decide the issue on the November ballot.

Viator tells KPEL that many of the citizens of Youngsville have children that are of the age that they play all different kinds of sports.  He says parents have long expressed to him, and to Youngsville Council members, their desire to have their own sports complex.  Viator says if they build the complex then he believes more restaurants and then ultimately even hotels would be interested in his city.
