For the third consecutive day, St. Martin Parish emergency personnel responded to a bomb threat at one of the district's elementary schools.

St. Martin Sheriff's spokesperson Ginny Higgins reported multiple agencies responded to the emergency call at Teche Elementary at approximately 8:45 Friday morning after a written note was found in s school bathroom.

KPEL previously reported two similar incidents that took place at Parks Elementary on Wednesday and Thursday. Similar to today's incident, those two bomb threat calls were propmpted by a note left in a school bathroom.

St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police, St. Martin Parish Fire District, and the Cecilia Volunteer Fire Department cooperated in a search of the evacuated school and found no threats. The school was reopened at around 10 a.m.

Authorities are urging parents to speak to their children about the serious nature of this kind of offense.
